Spanish club Real Betis announced the signing of Arsenal defender Hector Bellerin, before the closing of the current summer transfer window, in a one-season loan deal until the end of the current season.
Hector Bellerin underwent a medical examination, on Tuesday, to complete his transfer to Real Betis on the last day of the current summer transfer period.
The Spanish club added that Arsenal defender Hector Bellerin waited until the last day of the Mercato in the hope that Barcelona would move to include him in the last hours, but this did not happen, which made him agree to join Real Betis.
Since the first signing for Arsenal in July 2011, Hector has played 239 games with the first team, won the Emirates Cup three times and the Community Shield twice, as he represented his country at all levels from under 16 years to the first team, and was a member of the Spain squad Euro 2016.
Hector spent the early stages of his youth career at Barcelona’s academy, before joining Arsenal at the age of 16, then signing his first professional contract at the age of 17 in 2012.
The 26-year-old made his first-team debut in the League Cup in September 2013, before taking a loan spell in the tournament with Watford that season to gain some valuable first-team experience.
Hector quickly developed into a dynamic defender and enjoyed a great season in 2013/14, capping the season with the starting line-up to win the FA Cup Final against Aston Villa.
