Former “The Real Housewives of the Potomac” star Mia Fields-Thornton has been arrested at Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport and is now in custody.
Fulton County Jail records confirm she faces a felony charge of theft by taking. According to an Atlanta police report, officers at the airport were alerted by Customs and Border Protection about a wanted individual.
The charge relates to allegations that Fields-Thornton stole furniture from a condo she was renting on Marietta Street. The condo’s management company claims that on October 28, she and a man identified as Jared McGriff “suddenly moved out of the unit in the middle of the night,” taking furniture and a television. The total value of the allegedly stolen items is estimated to be around $11,000.
Body camera footage from the arrest shows Fields-Thornton confirming to police that she was aware of an outstanding warrant for her arrest.
Fields-Thornton, who joined the Bravo reality show during its sixth season, announced in April that she had moved to Atlanta and would not be returning to the series.
