Regular entry of nationals and foreigners to Mexico increased 76.1% between January and August 2022: INM

During the period January-August 2022, there was an increase of 76.1% in the regular entry of people to Mexicoaccording to information from the National Migration Institute (INM), an office belonging to the Ministry of the Interior (Segob).

through the Immigration Policy Unit, Registration and Identity of Persons (UPMRIP) the document was published “Migratory Statistics. Synthesis 2022“, where it was noted that from January to August 2022, the regular entry of national and foreign population to Mexico by air, sea and land was 25 million 271,879.

“With the above, an increase of 76.1% of arrivals of nationals and foreigners is shown during the aforementioned period; Quintana Roo is the federal entity that presents the most arrivals, with 10 million 230,329 people, ”said the Segob document.

The information presented by the UPMRIP is prepared and systematized based on the administrative records generated at the various points of admission, processing areas, stays and immigration stations of the representative offices in the states and central offices of the National Institute of Migration, as well as the records of permits for the internment of vehicles for Mexican people from the Bank of the Army and Air Force.
