According to a report by a foundation dedicated to fighting money laundering and fraud in the digital sphere, far-right activists received Bitcoin remittances before the Capitol was stormed.
Chainalysis noted that more than $ 500,000 worth of bitcoin was transferred to 22 e-wallets, most of them belonging to far-right activists.
She added that the transfers of 28.15 bitcoins were made by a person residing in France on December 8th, indicating that he was a software expert and died at a later time.
The report said that the person who received the largest amount was activist Nick Fuentes, whose YouTube page was blocked last year due to “hate speech” and that he received 13.5 bitcoins or more than $ 250,000.
It is noteworthy that supporters of outgoing US President Donald Trump stormed the Capitol building on January 6, coinciding with the congressional approval of the results of the presidential elections.
