In an exclusive report by PWInsider, per confirmation from multiple WWE sources, the 2026 WWE Royal Rumble is locked in for Saudi Arabia.
It was noted that WWE could make an official announcement during Monday’s premiere of Raw on Netflix.
The last time the Royal Rumble was held outside of the United States, was the very first event, which aired as a special on the USA Network back on January 24, 1988 at the then Copps Coliseum (now FirstOntario Centre) in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada.
WWE’s current 10-year agreement with Saudi Arabia runs through 2028.
Last May, Saudi Arabia’s chairman of the General Entertainment Authority Turki Alsheikh spoke with with Ariel Helwani. Alsheikh noted they were in discussions with WWE about Saudi Arabia hosting WrestleMania or the Royal Rumble in 2026 or 2027.
This year’s Royal Rumble takes place on Saturday, February 1 at Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana.
