WWE’s disgusting business relationship with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia has been in place since 2018.
The Saudis were rumored to be “in the hunt” at one point to purchase WWE when the company was on sale in 2023. Then in 2024, the Saudi Arabia General Entertainment Authority announced there will be an enhancement to their existing deal with WWE, with the Saudis looking to land either a Royal Rumble or WrestleMania event in the future.
According to a new report from PW Insider, it will be Royal Rumble 2026 that is going to Saudi Arabia:
“The 2026 WWE Royal Rumble event will emanate from Saudi Arabia, PWInsider.com has confirmed with multiple sources in the company…We are told the deal to take the event to Saudi is locked in and that an official announcement could come as soon as this Monday’s Raw Netflix premiere.”
