US Senator Pat Tommy, Republican Senator in the US Congress, said President Donald Trump “has committed violations that deserve removal from office.”
Tommy, who represents Pennsylvania in the Senate, in an interview with Fox News today, Saturday, expressed his concern about the possibility of politicizing the impeachment measures that the Democratic-controlled House of Representatives intends to launch next Monday against Trump.
At the same time, the senator indicated that he is not sure whether the Senate will take any steps in this path, especially since Trump’s term ends after only 11 days.
He said, “I think that the president has committed violations that deserve impeachment, but I do not know what will come at the level of the Senate and if anything will ever come.”
Tommy joined a group of Republican lawmakers, namely the senators from Alaska, Lisa Markowski, Illinois, Adam Kinzinger, and Nebraska, Ben Saz, who expressed their support for Trump’s removal from power in light of the storming of Congress headquarters last Wednesday by crowds of supporters of the president , Killing five people.
