The Directorate of Emergency Situations in the Russian Nizhny Novgorod Province said that rescuers were able to rescue and rescue a swan that froze in the waters of a lake in the Vadsky region.
In its statement, the Directorate indicated that this lake is called “Swan Lake”, because birds spend the winter period in this area over several years.
And the statement noted, that one of these birds got into trouble while in the lake water, the water froze and trapped the swan in its ice. A local resident, who was working near the lake, informed the rescuers.
Thanks to joint efforts, “an operation to rescue the bird was carried out. The ice was cut, the swan was taken out of it, and transported to a warm place.”
