Rescue operation underway for 17 passengers after British vacationer boat sinks off Greek island

A rescue operation is underway for 17 passengers after a British vacationer boat sank off the Greek island of Milos. 

A number of vessels and a navy helicopter had been aiding the rescue operation, the coast guard stated, after receiving a hazard sign from the boat this morning.  

The circumstances of the accident weren’t instantly identified however it’s thought the vacationers had been on board a 30-meter yacht. 

Mayor of Milos, Manolis Mikelis, stated: ‘We’ve info for 17 folks, we’re within the means of accumulating folks from the ocean.

‘In the intervening time there may be wind within the space and it’s making lots of waves, we had been advised a few yacht.

‘With each reservation, the boat has been overturned.’
