Two American officials said that the United States is carrying out reconnaissance drone flights in the skies of Gaza in search of the prisoners who were detained by Hamas on October 7, in reference to Operation Al-Aqsa Flood, which was carried out by the resistance in response to the continuing attacks by the Israeli occupation.
Reuters news agency quoted two officials, who spoke on condition of anonymity, that the United States is operating intelligence-gathering drones over Gaza to assist in efforts to locate detainees, and one of the officials said that drone flights have been carried out for more than a week.
American officials say that ten missing American citizens may be among more than 200 people detained by the resistance and believed to be in Hamas’s sprawling tunnel network.
Since last October 7, the Israeli occupation forces have launched intensive raids on the Gaza Strip, resulting in the deaths of more than 9,000 martyrs, most of them children and women, and the injury of more than 21,000.
A few days ago, the occupation forces began ground incursions, and were confronted by resistance forces that launched hit-and-run attacks from tunnels, according to Reuters.
