Reuters reported, citing an informed source, that Brazil had signed an agreement with the American company, Pfizer, to buy 100 million doses of its Corona virus vaccine.
Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro had personally participated in a video call with the management of “Pfizer” and reached a verbal agreement with them to purchase the vaccine.
It should be noted that Brazil announced last week the agreement to supply 10 million doses of the Russian “Sputnik V” vaccine against the Corona virus.

This comes against the backdrop of a record number of Corona deaths in Brazil over the past week.
The hospital system in the country is also on the verge of collapse, which prompted warnings from the World Health Organization of a possible spread of the disease in the region and its cause for the renewal of general isolation measures in most neighboring countries.
