Reuters reported, citing a senior US administration official, that it would finish reviewing its policies towards North Korea “within the next month or so.”
“We are busy with a very active strategic review. We expect that it will be concluded in about a month,” the unnamed official told Reuters, without giving any details about the possible changes to the policies and their nature.
Nevertheless, the official indicated that the policies will be based on “past experience” to a large extent, adding that Washington is looking at “a wide range of matters” in this regard.

US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said that policies towards North Korea may include more sanctions or diplomatic initiatives, the nature of which he did not specify.
