Reuters quoted an informed source as saying that former US President Donald Trump plans to deliver a speech at the conservative political movement conference next week about the future of the Republican Party.
The agency stated that the conference will take place from February 25 to 28 in Orlando, Florida, where Trump will deliver his speech on his last day.
The source told “Reuters” that Trump is expected to speak about “the future of the Republican Party and the conservative movement” in the United States.
Republican Trump left the US president’s office on January 20 at the end of his term and after losing the presidential election to Democrat Joe Biden.
Trump’s presidency witnessed many scandals and disagreements in the country’s domestic political arena, which reached its climax on January 6 when a group of his supporters stormed the Congress headquarters during his sessions to approve the results of the presidential race, where the disturbances in the Capitol killed 5 people.
These events caused the Democrats in the House of Representatives to launch a second impeachment process against Trump aimed at preventing him from occupying any position in the apparatus of power after the end of his term, but the Senate refused to condemn the former president, who was accused of “inciting rebellion.”
In January, US media published reports saying that Trump was planning to create a new political party that would feature a conservative approach, but his electoral advisor, Jason Miller, later denied the news.
