Mila, from Melbourne, posted a demonstrative video on TikTok and revealed she often uses shaving cream to buff her bathroom mirror, shower and even her wedding ring

In the video, Mila first applied the shaving cream onto the bathroom mirror using a microfibre cloth.

‘Buff onto mirrors for a streak-free shine and to prevent fogging (even after a shower!),’ she wrote in the video.

She then rubbed a generous amount of the shaving cream onto a stainless steel surface for a ‘perfect clean’ and to ‘keep fingerprints away for longer’.

Using her fingertips, Mila then doused her silver ring in the shaving foam as a ‘gentle and effective’ way to maintain its shine.

After rubbing the jewellery in the shaving cream, she simply washed it off and the ring was left looking bright and sparkling.

According to Apartment Therapy, shaving cream contains active ingredients and cleaning agents that are similar to those found in common household cleaners.

‘I’ve tried this and it definitely works on mirrors in the bathroom,’ one TikTok user wrote.

‘I need this in my life so much!’ a second added.

A third said: ‘Thank you for this! I’ve been wondering how to defog my mirror and keep it streak-free!’
