An Israeli channel revealed a plan by the Israeli army that includes partition Gaza To areas governed by clans, and responsible for distributing humanitarian aid.
The Kan channel, affiliated with the official Israeli Broadcasting Corporation, said on Monday evening, “The Strip will be divided into regions and districts, where each clan will control a district and will be responsible for distributing humanitarian aid.”
She added that this plan will be presented today at the mini-cabinet meeting, noting that these “clans known to the army and the General Security Service (Shin Bet) will manage civil life in Gaza for a temporary period (without specifying the duration).”
The channel quoted Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu He said, “There is no point in talking about the Palestinian Authority as part of the administration of Gaza, as long as it has not undergone a fundamental change process,” adding, “If they are serious about change, let them prove it first in Judea and Samaria (the biblical name for the West Bank).”
Joint meetings
Netanyahu’s statements came after meetings between Israeli Minister of Strategic Affairs Ron Dermer, in the United States, with US Secretary of State Anthony Blinken and National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan, in which he spoke about “a Palestinian body controlling the Gaza Strip, without going into details.”
On more than one occasion since the beginning of the war on Gaza, Netanyahu has confirmed his refusal to return the Palestinian Authority to the Gaza Strip, stressing that Israel will handle the security file, despite Washington’s support for the rule of the Palestinian Authority.
Since October 7, the Israeli army has launched an aggression against Gaza that, as of yesterday, has left 21,978 martyrs and 57,697 injured, 70% of whom are children and women, in addition to massive destruction of infrastructure and an unprecedented humanitarian catastrophe, according to the Gaza Strip authorities and the United Nations.
