Ric Flair had the wrestling world buzzing recently after revealing he believes he has one more match left in him. Now, at 75, he’s lacing up his boots — literally. See for yourself.
As wrestling fans turn their attention to WWE and Raw’s debut on Netflix, Flair took to social media to put some of the spotlight back on himself. On X, Flair shared a video of him lacing up his wrestling boots. In the background, the sound of people training in a ring can clearly be heard. He included a message that read, “Fits Just Like The Old Days! WOOOOO!”
While the boots might fit, it’s time for the WWE Hall of Famer to say, “I quit.” Flair last wrestled in 2022 in a spectacle that was poorly received. He later revealed that he suffered a heart attack during the bout, turning an already disappointing moment for wrestling into an even darker chapter.
Last year, during a war of words with fellow wrestling veteran Dutch Mantell, Flair wrote, “I Do Want To Die In The Limelight. I’ve Been In It Since I Was 15 Years Old. I’m 75 years Old Now, Still In The Limelight And Still The Main Event!”
Flair’s obsession with the limelight is obvious. But I think I speak for almost everyone when I say that no one wants to see Flair die in the ring or even being caught on video acting like a jerk at a pizza joint. Instead, it would be better for Flair to put his celebrity to good use, as he promised to do last year following Hurricane Milton’s devastation in Florida, minus the tone-deaf commentary, of course.
