Riviera Maya will host Vive MICE 2022

Cancun, QR. The second edition of Vive MICE (Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions) 2022 was presented, the business meeting of the meetings and congresses industry of the Mexican Caribbean.

The meeting will take place from December 1 to 4 in the Riviera Maya, for which around 1,500 business appointments are expected, with event organizations or meeting planners from Mexico, the United States, Canada and South America.

Flor López, president of Meeting Professionals International (MPI), Mexican Caribbean chapter, assured that there is already a full recovery of the industry, since many hotels have already covered all their spaces for programming events in the remainder of the year, between weddings, incentive groups, congresses and even weddings.

“We are bringing more than 87 event organizing buyers from the United States, Canada, various Latin American countries and nationally from various cities in Mexico. The idea is to put together a program where hotels, convention centers and others will be promoted and all aimed at the meeting tourism sector so that they can bring their events to the Mexican Caribbean”, he highlighted.

He mentioned that the fastest growing segment this year, after the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic, is weddings. “There are hotels that celebrate up to 2,500 weddings in a week,” she commented.

Discover Vive MICE, he indicated, is an exclusive event designed by Meeting MPI Mexican Caribbean Chapter, for professionals from the Groups, Conventions, Incentives and Weddings industry, with the aim of supporting the reactivation of travel for the Meeting Tourism segment and Romance to destinations in the Mexican Caribbean.

This event is especially aimed at Meeting Planners, PCO’s and Wedding Planners from Mexico, the United States and Latin America, as well as strategic corporate business allies in the generation of groups, incentives and weddings.

He stressed that, during the three-day meeting, the 2023 season will be offered for this type of meeting. “The Mexican Caribbean brings it all together: hotel infrastructure, more large-capacity convention centers, natural beauties, archaeological sites, beaches and a team of people that guarantee highly successful events.”
