Rocha inaugurates new social works in the municipality of El Fuerte

• The president kept his word to finish the highway to Chinobampo and the paving of a street in the Constancia ejido.

Chinobampo, El Fuerte, Sinaloa, December 28, 2022.- In keeping with his promise to the inhabitants of the Chinobampo community, belonging to the municipality of El Fuerte, Governor Rubén Rocha Moya returned to this small town to inaugurate his road, work to which he had committed when he visited the town months ago to start the construction of a well to supply drinking water.

The state president arrived in Chinobampo, accompanied by the municipal president of El Fuerte, Gildardo Leyva Ortega, and by the Secretary of Public Works, José Luis Zavala Cabanillas, to deliver the paving of the last section of the highway, 1,300 meters long, where 10 million 600 thousand pesos were invested, with which this street is completely concluded, since the works had been unfinished for almost 10 years.

This new visit also served to symbolically deliver the well that the inhabitants asked for when Governor Rocha went to the community to meet with a particular family, to offer his condolences for the death of one of his daughters, on which occasion they requested said work, since there was no supply source for the drinking water network, and therefore they lacked the service in their homes.

In response, the state president instructed the secretary Zavala Cabanillas to immediately begin drilling the well, the cost of which was one million 600 thousand pesos, work that was completed in less than 30 days. It should be noted that on that same occasion, in addition to the well, the inhabitants also asked him to finish the road, since in the last two state administrations it started from El Fuerte, but it was never finished until Chinobampo, a request that also found a commitment from the governor Rocha, which was honored.

Another issue that resulted in the economic benefit of the inhabitants of Chinobampo was the order issued by Governor Rocha to return the 50,000 pesos that several people had already collected to request the paving of a small street in the town, since he specified that the The State Government will do the paving without charging the people any money, as it does with all public works that it carries out, specifically the new streets, since in the past it was common for governments to condition the contribution of the beneficiaries to do the paving.

In turn, the municipal president, Gildardo Leyva Ortega, thanked Governor Rocha for his new visit to Chinobampo, now to collect his pledged word with the works he promised.

“We are very happy because our governor accompanies us, and as he always brings us good things, like this road, so controversial in its time, the people of Chinobampo can now count on their road, and they already have 100 percent water in their homes, which has also been an effort by our governor Rubén Rocha Moya, who always keeps what he promises,” he acknowledged.

Subsequently, Governor Rocha, Mayor Gildardo Leyva and Secretary Zavala Cabanillas moved to the Constancia ejido to deliver the paving of Gabriel Leyva street, just over 540 meters long, with a variable width from 6 to 12 meters, whose investment was 8 million 400 thousand pesos.

Here, also at the request of the settlers, the state governor promised to pave another 300-meter section, to continue this avenue to the edge of the common, as well as rehabilitate the Vicente Lombardo Toledano elementary school.

For his part, the Secretary of Public Works, José Luis Zavala, reported that in addition to Gabriel Leyva street, Constancia is also currently carrying out work to expand the sanitary drainage network, where 2.5 million pesos are invested, and already The replacement of public lighting, now with 250 high-tech LED lamps, on the ridge of the highway as it passes through the community, was completed.

The state official announced that in total, the State Government has invested with its own resources in the municipality of El Fuerte, the amount of 60 million pesos, in all these social and infrastructure works, such as the remodeling of the recreational park La Galera, which together with the Mirador de El Fuerte Museum, is one of the main attractions of this Magical Town.
