Romelu Lukaku insists he is one of the top strikers in the global game at the moment
‘Over the past five months, I am one of the top 5 strikers, yes!’ he told France Football. There may be players who have scored more goals but … No, no, top 5 is fine. I don’t want to give the ranking but I am one of them.’
Lukaku also opened up on the difference between playing in Italy and England.
He insists that it is a lot more stricter in Milan, alluding to the desire of Antonio Conte for every player to stick rigidly to the role expected of them.
‘In Italy, winning comes first,’ he said. ‘There is a big difference in the approach of the matches between here and England.
‘I focus on exactly what I need to do because, again, the two Championships are not alike.
‘Tactically, in terms of my positioning and my movements, I must not be wrong. Never.’
