The Minnesota Vikings announced a series of roster changes on Tuesday, placing receiver Rondale Moore on Injured Reserve and waiving linebacker Brian Asamoah II and center Zeke Correll.
Moore, who joined the Vikings this offseason, will miss the entire season after suffering a severe knee injury during Saturday’s preseason game against the Houston Texans. The injury occurred on his first punt return for the team. This is the second consecutive year Moore has sustained a season-ending knee injury, with the previous one occurring just over a year ago.
The team also parted ways with Asamoah, a third-round pick from the 2022 NFL Draft. In 46 games for Minnesota, he recorded 30 total tackles, two forced fumbles, and one recovery, contributing across 188 defensive and 802 special teams snaps. He played in Saturday’s game against Houston before being waived.
Correll, an undrafted free agent, was waived with an injury designation after fracturing his ankle during his professional debut against the Texans. The rookie center played 12 offensive snaps before the injury.
