Rovan Nasr, a Palestinian girl from Gaza stripShe lost her entire family in an Israeli attack on a house they were displaced to in Khan Yunis, south of the Gaza Strip, and she was the only survivor among her family members.
Rovan narrates – to Al Jazeera’s camera – that she went to sleep and suddenly woke up to find herself in the rubble of her house that had been bombed by the Israelis. She says, “I felt like my hands and legs were tied, and I started screaming, then I heard voices saying, ‘Who is this, who is who…’.”
She said that citizens pulled her out from under the rubble of her house, which was bombed by Israel at one o’clock.
According to the Palestinian girl’s narration, she went to her work, but she could not sleep because she kept thinking about her father, mother, and siblings.
In the morning, she asked to go with her uncle’s house to the European Hospital in Khan Yunis to see her family, but they told her that her mother, father, and brothers, Uday, Muhammad, and Malik, were martyred in the Israeli bombing.
With patience and courage, Rovan says: To God we belong and to Him we shall return. She added that her feelings were indescribable after losing her family in the Israeli bombing, and that she cried a lot and wished that no one would go through what she went through.
