Russia and China confirm their rejection of unilateral Western sanctions

The foreign ministers of Russia and China, Sergey Lavrov and Wang Yi, have announced that Moscow and Beijing reject the unlawful unilateral sanctions, which are increasingly being used by Western partners.

The foreign ministers said during a press conference today, Tuesday, in the Chinese city of Guilin, that Moscow and Beijing reject the geopolitical games and illegal unilateral sanctions that Western countries are increasingly using.

Lavrov said that Russia and China note the United States’ actions aimed at undermining the international legal structure by relying on military-political alliances.

Lavrov also touched during the press conference on relations between Russia and the European Union, and said that Moscow does not have relations today with the European Union as an organization, explaining that the infrastructure for relations between the two parties has been destroyed.

The Russian Foreign Minister added that Russia would be ready for any contacts to increase interaction, if Brussels wanted to work to overcome the current problems.
