In a statement issued by Ross Cosmos and the Chinese Space Administration, the Russian and Chinese sides will contribute to cooperation aimed at establishing an international lunar base open to participation by all countries and relevant authorities in order to enhance cooperation in the field of science and the use of space for peaceful purposes in the interest of the whole of humanity.
It is noteworthy that the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Understanding was held in the video conference system entitled “Russia and China are using joint experiences and scientific technologies in order to lay down the roadmap necessary to establish the international lunar scientific base.”
The joint statement stated that the two countries’ cooperation in this field requires both studying the surface of the moon and achieving joint projects in the orbit of the moon.
It is worth noting that the Director General of “Ross Cosmos”, Dmitry Rogozin, invited his counterpart, Jan Kastasang, to come to the Russian “Vostochny” space airport next October, where the Russian “Luna-25” probe will be launched.
