“Russian-European relations at a crossroads,” announced the representative of the European Union’s foreign policy, Josep Borrell.
He said that his recent visit to Moscow showed Russia’s lack of intention to improve relations with the Union, revealing that he would take an initiative to impose new sanctions, after the political dialogue with it reached “a state of stagnation.”
Escalating positions do not seem to have come as a surprise to the Russian side, and this is what the Russian Foreign Ministry expressed when it said that Brussels, through Borrell’s visit, wanted to arrange a “public flogging” for Russia
Where are the already complex relationships heading?
