The Russian authorities announced the registration of the first infection with the new mutation of the Corona virus, which Britain announced that it had discovered an outbreak on its soil last month.
The head of the Russian Federal Authority for the Protection of Consumer Rights, Anna Popova, confirmed – in statements reported by (Russia Today) channel this evening, Sunday – that a Russian citizen who had recently returned from the United Kingdom had been infected with the “British” mutation of the virus.
And last December, the British government tightened the restrictions imposed in the capital, London and large parts of England, due to monitoring the spread of the new Corona mutation, which is considered to have a greater ability to spread.
Cases of the new surge in the epidemic have since been detected in dozens of countries.
