An official in the Russian Ministry of Transport revealed his forecast for the air traffic of Russian companies in 2021, after a noticeable decline in 2020 due to the Corona virus crisis.
The Russian Deputy Minister of Transport, Igor Shalik, expects that passenger traffic of Russian airlines will increase by about 52% this year, and said that it is expected that passenger transport will reach 105 million people in 2021.
The Russian official’s statement came in response to a question asked by journalists on the sidelines of the National Exhibition for Civil Aviation Infrastructure, which was held on February 9 and 10 in Moscow.
