The Russian authorities announced the imposition of the unfavorable weather conditions, known as the “black sky” system, in the city of Krasnoyarsk, located in Eastern Siberia.
The Ministry of Environment and Nature Management in the Krasnoyarsk Territory confirmed in a statement that this measure had been taken for two days, starting tomorrow, Saturday, indicating that its monitors will intensify their efforts with the aim of uncovering unauthorized sources of air pollution.
The Department of Hydrometeorology and Environmental Monitoring in Central Siberia stated that the first-class “black sky” system is imposed in one of the largest cities in Siberia due to expectations of unfavorable conditions for dispersal of harmful air impurities.
The “black sky” system is imposed in Krasnoyarsk for the fourth time since the beginning of this year.
