Russia involves school students in developing 100 new satellites

Informed sources in the Russian space industry said that the experts in the country will involve school students in the process of developing a new set of nanosatellites.

On the subject, a statement issued by the Russian company Sputniks said, “Work is currently underway on a new project with the participation of the Russian movement of school students. The project, which will be carried out within the framework of the Space-L program, aims to develop 100 Cubesat nanoscale satellites over several years.”

“Thanks to the aforementioned program, school students in Russia will be able to learn how to develop, design and test satellites, and they will also be trained in developing programs for satellite missions and their systems, and obtaining data from these satellites to benefit from them,” the statement added.

According to the available information, the Space-L program, which is adopted by the “Ross Cosmos” Foundation in cooperation with the University of Skoltech and the Russian company Sputniks, is supposed to contribute to the development of small cube-shaped satellites with dimensions (10/10/10 cm), which will be used in many scientific and research fields. .
