Today, Sunday, the health authorities in Russia announced that 12,742 new cases of Coronavirus were recorded during the past 24 hours, compared to 12,953 cases in the previous toll.
The Russian Epidemic Control Center announced that 16,012 people had recovered during the past day, while 417 deaths were recorded.
The new infections are distributed over 85 regions, the largest number of which were recorded in Moscow (1602), followed by Saint Petersburg (996), and then the regions bordering Moscow (735).
According to official figures and statistics, Russia has recorded 4 million 164,726 injuries since the start of the epidemic, and 3 million 71,445 people have recovered, while 83,293 people have died so far.
So far, the health authorities in Russia have conducted 109 million tests to detect those infected with the Coronavirus, and 368,000 tests have been performed during the past day.
Since the beginning of this year, Russia has recorded a gradual decline in the rate of the Corona outbreak, against the backdrop of the continuation of the large-scale free vaccination campaign that was launched since last December.
It should be noted that Russia registered 3 anti-Coronavirus vaccines, the last of which was the “Kovivac” vaccine, last Saturday, and the “Sputnik V” vaccine was the first in the world against the Corona virus, it was registered on August 11 last year.
And last October, “Epivakkorona” was registered – the second Russian vaccine against the Corona virus.
