Russian airlines reduced passenger traffic in 2020 by 46% to 69.17 million passengers compared to 2019, according to a statement issued by the Russian Transport Agency.
According to the statement, Russian airlines carried more than 5 million passengers in December of last year, which is 43% less than the December 2019 level.
The statement indicated that Aeroflot maintained its position as the largest airline in Russia, despite the fact that the Russian company reduced its transportation activities in 2020 by 61% to 14.6 million passengers.
S7 Airlines reduced transportation by 31% to 12.3 million passengers, while Pobeda reduced travel activities by 12% to 9.1 million passengers.
