The Russian Defense Ministry announced that its naval forces are following the movements of the American “Donald Cook” destroyer equipped with guided missiles, which entered the waters of the Black Sea today, Saturday.
“The forces and means of the Black Sea Fleet began following up on the movements of the US Navy destroyer Donald Cook, equipped with guided missiles, after its entry on January 23, 2021, to the waters of the Black Sea,” the Ministry’s National Center for Defense Affairs said in a statement.
The “Donald Cook” destroyer, which entered service with the US forces in 1997, carries dozens of “Tomahawk” winged missiles capable of carrying nuclear warheads.
The crew of this military ship consists of 337 people, including 23 officers.
