Deputy Head of the Russian Center for Reconciliation in Syria, Lieutenant General Vyacheslav Sitnik, confirmed that the terrorist “Jabhat al-Nusra” militants had carried out 24 attacks in the de-escalation zone in Syria.
He said, “In the de-escalation zone in Idlib, 24 attacks were recorded from the sites of the (Al-Nusra Front) terrorist group, including 19 attacks announced by the Syrian side.”
He added, “The violations in Idlib governorate were 14 attacks, 4 attacks in each of the governorates of Aleppo and Latakia, and two attacks in Hama governorate.”
For its part, the Russian military forces announced earlier, that “Russian air defense systems repelled an attack on the Hmeimim air base in Syria.”
