A member of the Russian State Duma, Ruslan Balbek, commented on the statement of Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuliba on the “Normandy formula”, that “Ukraine has no choice but to implement the agreements signed on it.”
“We insist that everything that is clarified must be implemented,” Balbek said in a statement to RT.
He added, “Let the Ukrainian Foreign Minister be honest. Russia is always open to dialogue, and Ukraine has no choice but to implement and these tricks tarnish its reputation.”
Earlier, the Ukrainian Foreign Minister said in an interview with “TSN.ua”, “The Normandy formula (Germany, Russia, Ukraine and France) is more vital than all living things, but negotiations at the level of foreign ministers are in a state of lethargy due to drugs.”
The last negotiations of the leaders of the countries participating in the “Normandy formula” were held in Paris on December 9, 2019, a bilateral meeting was held between the Ukrainian Presidents Vladimir Zelensky and Russian Vladimir Putin, and the results of the Paris summit were agreements to exchange detainees, a complete ceasefire, and the disengagement between forces and equipment. The parties also agreed to continue negotiations in the “Normandy formula” and to continue the work of the Contact Group within the framework of the Minsk agreements.
