The Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations announced on Saturday evening that there are no concerns about the possibility of a Tsunami Marine after a powerful earthquake struck the Kamchatka region in far northeastern Russia.
The Russian Academy of Sciences said the earthquake had a magnitude of 7. Richter scale.
The US National Tsunami Warning Center issued a warning of a tsunami forming off the coast of the region, noting that the earthquake measured 7 on the Richter scale.
