Russian Kodermitova goes up to the final of the Abu Dhabi Tennis Championships (video)

Russian Veronika Kodermetova qualified for the final match of the Abu Dhabi Tennis Championship, by beating Ukrainian Marta Kastiuk in two sets today, Tuesday, without a response.

Kodermitova, 23, was able to resolve the match in her favor with two clean sets, by 7-6 and 6-4 in one hour and 43 minutes.

This is the first time that Kodermetova has qualified for the professional singles tournament final.

In the final of the tournament, with a total prize pool of more than 560 thousand dollars, Kodermetova will face the Belarusian Arina Sabalenka, who in turn won the Greek Maria Sakkari, in two sets without pay, by 6-3 6-2.
