Anna Popova, head of the Russian Federal Authority for Consumer Protection, confirmed that those who were infected with Covid-19 or received the vaccine against it, will not develop the British mutation.
“People who have been infected with the strain, which is mainly spread in Russia, cannot have the British mutation,” Popova said.

She added, “People who received either of the two Russian vaccines could not catch the disease because the antibodies formed in their blood neutralize both the traditional strain and the British mutation.”
Popova indicated that her agency is conducting more accurate checks for people who have had contact with people with virus mutations to prevent their spread.
