Senegal star Sadio Mane criticized the conditions for organizing the African Nations Cup in Cameroon, and complained about the lack of justice between all the participating teams.
Mane spoke after Senegal’s 0-0 draw against Guinea on Friday in the second round of Group Two, and criticized the match schedule because Senegal played the second match in a row at one in the afternoon local time.
“It’s not easy,” said the Liverpool player. “It’s a pity that we play twice in a row at 1pm, when some teams haven’t played at this time.”
Mane expressed his dissatisfaction with the state of the stadium that hosted yesterday’s match, and said, “The field floor was dry and water was not available to spray the floor before the match.”

He stressed that these circumstances are not an excuse for his team, which did not provide the expected performance, despite entering the competition, and is one of the most prominent candidates to crown the title after reaching the final in the previous version.
The Senegalese top scorer added, “This is not an excuse, there are things that need to be improved, it is a difficult period for us and we are playing with the means we have. It was not the best match for us, we know that. Now, we want to forget this match and think about the next stage.”
Senegal and Equatorial Guinea share the top spot in Group B with 4 points, and they will face Malawi in the final round next Tuesday.
