While there are plenty of ways to celebrate Christmas, most kids will only have one thing on their minds: Santa’s inevitable visit.
Many children will be watching the clock and bouncing around the house wondering when he will get there and what he will bring them. In order to get an ETA and to have some Christmas Eve fun, there are multiple online trackers that show users where Santa Claus is in the world, how many presents he’s delivered, and other fun facts.
Here are some of them you can try:
NORAD Tracks Santa
Perhaps the most popular Santa tracker is NORAD’s. The aerospace defense command has tracked Saint Nick since 1955 when a little girl accidentally dialed the unlisted phone number of the Continental Air Defense Command Operations Center in Colorado believing she was calling Santa after seeing a promotion in a local newspaper.
In addition to keeping track of Santa’s activities on Christmas Eve, NORAD’s tracker also offers Christmas music, festive games, educational materials, and other activities. You can also talk to the radar to ask questions about Santa, the reindeer, and more.
The tracker is available as an app for iPhone and on the Google Play Store as well as noradsanta.org. On Christmas Eve, you will also be able to call (877) HI-NORAD for updates on Santa’s journey.

Google Santa Tracker
Google does just about everything else, why not also track Santa? You can follow his journey and presents delivered. As he arrives to each location, you can learn about the area Santa is working in. Google’s tracker is also home to some fun videos as well as several games like a seasonal version of “Guitar Hero” and a coding activity.
The Google Santa Tracker is at santatracker.google.com and is an app the Google Play Store. The app is not available for iPhones.
Santa Update
For those who want to hear about what Santa’s doing all the way up to Christmas Eve, give Santa Update a try. In addition to providing a tracker on the big night, there are news releases from North Pole Flight Command and audio updates from North Pole Radio News. The most recent one was on Friday when all sleighs from the test flight were recalled and reported safe conditions for Santa’s flights.
There is also a podcast, “Kringle Radio,” plenty of informative links, and a ton of other activities. You can even apply to be one of Santa’s elves.
Santa Update is at santaupdate.com.
“Speak to Santa Christmas Call”
The highest rated Santa tracker on Apple’s App Store is “Speak to Santa Christmas Call.” Its biggest selling point is you can video call, audio call, and/or message Santa. Parents input some of their children’s information ahead of time, and Santa will even use it when he’s talking to the kids so you know Santa is talking directly to your child. On Christmas Eve, Santa will even be taking calls from his sleigh.
In addition to those features, you can track Santa and there are games/activities available to try.
