The Saudi authorities closed a hall where its owners held a concert in the Madinah region to celebrate the New Year without a license.
The Emirate of Madinah said in a statement on “Twitter” that its Emir, Faisal bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, directed to close the hall conservatively and complete the necessary procedures to implement the maximum statutory penalties.
The emirate of the region stressed that everyone, including citizens, visitors and residents, must feel the sanctity, status and privacy of the city.
It also confirmed its continuous follow-up to various social and commercial activities to ensure compliance with precautionary measures and the application of social distancing, pointing out that “any party that violates this will be held accountable in accordance with the laws and regulations.”
Activists on social media circulated videos of a gymnasium inside a commercial complex in Medina, a huge concert on the occasion of the New Year.
