Today, Wednesday, the Saudi Foreign Ministry condemned the bombings at Aden Airport in Yemen, saying it was a “cowardly terrorist act.”
“This treacherous act, behind which the forces of evil, is not only directed against the legitimate Yemeni government, but also targets the brotherly Yemeni people in all their spectrums,” the foreign ministry statement said.
The statement added, “Saudi Arabia affirms its solidarity with Yemen and the Yemenis as it has been since the first day, and is all confident that today’s incident will only increase their determination and steadfastness in achieving their ambitions and restoring their legitimacy.”
Earlier in the day, Aden airport, coinciding with the arrival of the new government, was subjected to a missile strike from Khalaf, according to Ministry of Health data, at least 22 people were killed and more than 50 wounded.
The Minister of Information in Hadi’s government, Muammar Al-Eryani, held the Houthis responsible for the attack, while the group denied that it was behind the attack.
