The Saudi General Authority of Civil Aviation announced the amendment of the date for allowing Saudi citizens to travel abroad and completely lifting the suspension of international flights.
And it indicated in a statement that “the Kingdom’s airports will be opened to international flights, starting at one o’clock in the morning on Monday, the 17th of next May.”
This came in an urgent letter sent by the authority to all airlines operating in Saudi airports, as “I notified them to change the date that was previously scheduled, which is March 31, to the new date.”
The authority stressed “the need to adhere to the necessary controls and instructions set by the concerned committee to take the necessary precautionary measures to prevent the spread of the Corona epidemic in the Kingdom.”
In her statement, she indicated that it “excludes from the implementation of the decision to allow travel and return to countries that the committee decides to suspend travel to or from coming from due to the outbreak of the new Corona epidemic in it.”
