The Egyptian media, Ahmed Schubert, a former Al-Ahly goalkeeper and former vice president of the Football Association, blew a surprise about the “VAR” video referee technique.
In radio statements, Schubert said that the tripartite committee for the management of the Egyptian Football Association decided to cancel the “mouse” video referee technology in the cup championship.
He added, “This will cause a big crisis in the matches.”

This came after statements by Ashraf Sobhi, Minister of Youth and Sports, in which he confirmed that the mouse technique is continuing and is currently used in the women’s championship.
Ahmed Mujahid, head of the tripartite committee in charge of managing the Football Association, said earlier that they are committed to adding goal-line technology to the league and that there is no intention to cancel the video technology.
The draw for the 32nd round of the Egypt Cup, which was held on Monday morning, at the Union headquarters, resulted in a confrontation between Al-Ahly, the defending champion, in front of Al-Nasr, one of the second division teams, while Zamalek meets his rival, Haras Al-Hodoud.
