From Portland, the first candidates are already beginning to sound to replace the dismissed Neil Olshey at the head of sports operations. According to media sources Yahoo! Sports, the names of Scott Perry and Marc Eversley have come to the fore.
Perry is currently the general manager of the Knicks, and in his sports career he has also passed through the ranks of the defunct Seattle Supersonics, Orlando Magic or Sacramento Kings.
For his part, Eversley holds the same position as Perry, but in Arturas Karnisovas’ Chicago Bulls. He also has extensive NBA experience after passing through the Toronto Raptors, Washington Wizards and Philadelphia 76ers.
Following the decision to fire Olshey and his problems outside of sports, the Blazers promoted Joe Cronin as their new general manager.
