Sedena seized 100,000 fentanyl pills in Tijuana

Elements of the Ministry of National Defense secured various amounts of fentanylmethamphetamine, cocaine, firearms and vehicles, in TijuanaBaja California.

Among what was seized by Sedena personnel are 100,000 pills of possible fentanyl, 77 kilograms of a substance similar to fentanyl, 120 kilos of possible cocaine, four kilos of a substance with the characteristics of fentanyl, 11 vehicles, two short arms, 3 long weapons, 75 cartridges, five chargers and a property was secured.

The authorities reported that this seizure was achieved thanks to the execution of a tactical investigation order and thanks to the intelligence and inter-institutional coordination work of the Sedena, the National Guard and the Attorney General’s Office to inhibit illegal acts and detect criminal organizations.

In a statement, it was detailed that the members of the different corporations identified a property, which was known to be used as a drug collection center, in the neighborhood Colorado Hillin the state capital.

Because of this, elements of the Mexican Army and of the GN established a security perimeter that allowed elements of the FGR comply with the tactical investigation order and secure the different chemical substances.

The document detailed that everything insured was made available to the competent authorities, so that they can carry out the investigations and the necessary actions to confirm the type of substances that were seized and the amount that is treated.

The authorities did not confirm if there were detainees in the property during the seizure of possible drugs.
