Senators grant licenses to Delfina Gómez and Armando Guadiana to run for governorships

The plenary session of the Chamber of Senators approved, by show of hands, granting licenses to Delfina Gomez Alvarez y Armando Guadiana Tijerina to separate from his legislative functions, indefinitely, as of next December 31.

Both senators from the National Regeneration Movement party will be appointed candidates for the governorships of the State of Mexico and Coahuila, respectively.

“We would like to express to the teacher Delfina and Armando Guadiana our best wishes for success in this new journey that they will undertake.

“Let it be heard well, the teacher Delfina is an irreproachable, incorruptible woman, an extraordinary, humble, simple, modest woman, a teacher who comes from below. Congratulations, teacher and that you do very well, always count on us.

“And, Armando Guadiana, esteemed and appreciable friend through thick and thin, that you do well. We don’t want to see you and the teacher here in the Senate again, we want to go to your swearing-in when they are governors. Congratulations, congratulations!” said Ricardo Monreal, coordinator of the Morena senatorial bench.

From the rostrum, the Coahuilense expressed: “I hope to return here only to greet you and not to the senatorial activity, because I want to obtain the victory.”

The teacher said goodbye thanking very much for the support of her co-religionists; “and at some point I will be bothering them, because they say that we need our colleagues and friends. And I know that I am going to need a lot from each and every one of you.”
