Actor and comedian Seth Rogen has sharply criticized Jax Taylor, condemning the reality TV star’s behavior on The Valley and questioning his place on television. A vocal Bravo superfan, Rogen expressed disgust over Taylor’s treatment of his estranged wife, Brittany Cartwright, labeling him a “bad person” who is unlikely to change.
Rogen’s comments followed the season two reunion of The Valley, the Vanderpump Rules spinoff that documented the couple’s marital decline. “I don’t think Jax should come back at this point,” Rogen stated, adding, “He’s been that way for 20 years on television… he doesn’t seem like he’s going to change. Maybe he seems worse the older he gets.”
The actor’s strong reaction was prompted by Cartwright’s allegations during the reunion, where she described verbal and emotional abuse from Taylor, including body-shaming and lying about their finances. “I did watch the first episode of the reunion… and, I mean, he was so f—ed up,” Rogen said. “What a f—ing a–hole. Yeah, a very bad, bad, bad character.”
Rogen’s investment in the Bravo universe is well-documented. He has previously shared how watching Vanderpump Rules with his wife provided a welcome distraction during a difficult time. He also celebrated her birthday with a visit to “Something About Her,” the sandwich shop opened by cast members Ariana Madix and Katie Maloney. “I get more starstruck around reality show people… than any celebrity,” he once admitted.
Rogen’s condemnation comes as Taylor navigates a tumultuous period following his separation from Cartwright. Taylor has reportedly entered rehab, admitting to drug and alcohol issues, but his estranged wife remains skeptical of his commitment to change.
In a recent interview, Cartwright acknowledged Taylor’s admission but voiced deep-seated doubts. “I’ve tried desperately to help him without success,” she said. “I pray that one day he completely knocks this addiction, but I’m skeptical. His behaviors are still alarming and his treatment plan seems to be the bare minimum.”
Cartwright emphasized the lasting impact on their family, stating, “Jax has caused an enormous amount of damage and I have very little trust in him at this point. My only hope is that one day, he will be a better person for his son.”
