Shark attack closes popular beach where man was mauled to death by a man-eater just two weeks ago
A shark attack has closed a popular tourist beach where a man was killed by one of the deadly animals two weeks ago.
Surf Life Saving WA said a surfer narrowly escaped the shark – which had been spotted 50m from the shore – at Cable Beach in Broome about 7am on Wednesday morning.
The shark is believed to have bitten his board, which had large visible teeth marks on it when the surfer made it back to shore.
