CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (AP) — The University of Virginia issued a warning to students to shelter in position late Sunday night next a report of photographs fired on the campus.
The university’s crisis administration issued an notify on Twitter at 10:42 p.m. of an “active attacker firearm.”
Authorities did not promptly launch additional details about possible casualties, the Richmond Situations-Dispatch described.
“There has been a taking pictures on Culbreth Road and the suspect is at huge and viewed as armed and perilous,” UVA President Jim Ryan explained in a tweet, inquiring the university group to “please shelter in spot.”
The UVA Police Department posted a notice on the internet expressing multiple law enforcement agencies had been browsing for a suspect who was deemed “armed and unsafe.”
A UVA scholar who was in her dormitory room around Culbreth Highway claimed she read six photographs fired, the Moments-Dispatch claimed.
