Shtayyeh reiterated the Palestinian leadership’s position to be “open to any political path based on international law and UN decisions,” calling on Britain to engage more politically in this context after its exit from the European Union.
Shtayyeh added, “We want to preserve the two-state solution in partnership with Europe and the new administration in the United States, and learn from the lessons of the past by leaving the American monopoly on the political process to an international conference in which there will be multiple mediation through the international quartet in addition to other powers.”
