Social media has been buzzing over the past two days with pictures and videos from the “Simpsons” series, where it is said that there are great similarities between the Capitol attack and an episode of the controversial cartoon series.
Episode 31 of the animated series, which was broadcast on November 1, 2020, titled “Terrifying Tree House”, depicted a horrific scene.
On the day of the inauguration, after Homer Simpson failed in the election, fires were burning all over Springfield, the home town of the Simpsons, side by side cars upturned and shattered windows. Some fans likened the horrific scenes in the cartoon to “The Civil War.”

Others indicated that the show predicted the actions of Trump supporters, who swept into the Capitol building last Wednesday to protest his election defeat, forcing lawmakers to flee to safety, and the sweep killed 5 people.

This is not the first time that the series “Simpson” appears to precede history by a step, as for more than 30 years, it has succeeded in anticipating many developments, starting from the Corona virus in the “Restricted Marge” episode of Season 4, to Donald Trump’s assumption of the presidency The United States, as in the eleventh season’s episode of “Bart’s Future”.
